EVENT HISTORY

This event launched in 1972. Originally known as Fan Fair®, the very first Festival was attended by 5,000 people and was held at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. The event moved to the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in 1982, then to Downtown Nashville in 2001. The 2010 and 2011 Festivals sold out Nashville's LP Field, attracting more than 65,000 Country fans per day to each Festival.

In 2004, the CMA Music Festival was chronicled in a 2-hour primetime, network TV special on CBS. The following year the TV special – now known as "CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock" – jumped to ABC, where it has aired annually ever since. In 2009 the special grew to be 3 hours long.

AUTOGRAPH SIGNINGS SCHEDULE, PROCESS & HINTS

The autograph process was overhauled for last year's CMA Music Festival, and some of those changes will return in 2013 with a few updates. The four-day ticket does not guarantee a meet and greet, but it does allow you entry into the Fan Fair Hall. There will be an autograph drawing held once again this year. We listened to the fan feedback, and only about 10% of artists signing in Fan Fair X will require a ticket. The other 90% you will not need tickets to get autographs! Check out CMAfest.com for the latest details!
