Summit Includes Panels, Research, and a CMA Songwriters Series Event with Superstars Wynonna and Sugarland’s Kristian Bush, Hit Songwriters Brett James and Dallas Davidson, Hosted by Songwriter Hall of Fame Member Bob DiPiero
NASHVILLE – The Country Music Association has your passport to reaching and engaging the international marketplace. The Association’s mission is to help expand the format around the world and for the first time, CMA is presenting the International Country Music Marketing Summit, March 1 at Disneyland Paris.
“With immediate and convenient access to Country Music, the world market is fertile ground for our industry and artists,” said Steve Moore, Chief Executive Officer of CMA. “Country artists are selling out major venues; our CMA Songwriter Series is returning to the U.K. and Ireland in February; and new events like the 'C2C: Country to Country' Country Music festival at the O2 Arena in London in March are a strong indication of the burgeoning popularity of the music and the need for this type of educational platform across the world.”
“The CMA International Country Music Marketing Summit is the most recent example of CMA’s enhanced interest and outreach in the international marketplace,” said Sheri Warnke, CMA Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “CMA is making a focused commitment to increasing awareness of the music and developing international business opportunities for our constituents.”
The summit includes panels, research presentations, and opportunities to network with Country Music industry representatives (breakfast, lunch, and an evening reception are included in the registration). The content is important information for anyone in the entertainment industry with an interest in understanding the Country fan, and learning more about the rapidly growing tour and festival landscape outside the United States.
A highlight of the one-day event will be the CMA Songwriter Series at Billy Bob’s in Disneyland Paris with Nashville’s superstar artists and songwriters performing their hits and telling the stories behind each chart-topping song featuring Wynonna, Sugarland’s Kristian Bush, and hit songwriters Brett James and Dallas Davidson, all hosted by Songwriter Hall of Fame member Bob DiPiero.
