Downtown Nashville will be making a few traffic adjustments in preparation for “The 45th Annual CMA Awards,” airing on the ABC Television Network, Wednesday, Nov. 9 (7:00-10:00 PM/CT) from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Production set-up for the CMA Awards will require special traffic patterns.
Saturday, Nov. 5
- Beginning at 9:00 AM/CT, Demonbreun Street will close between Fourth Avenue South and Fifth Avenue South.
Sunday, Nov. 6
- At 8:00 AM/CT, the closure of Demonbreun Street will expand from Fourth Avenue South to Sixth Avenue South. The eastbound lane of Demonbreun Street from Sixth Avenue South to Seventh Avenue South will also close at this time.
- At 8:00 AM/CT, Fifth Avenue South will close from Franklin Street to Broadway. The westbound lanes of Franklin Street will also be closed in the block between Fourth Avenue South and Fifth Avenue South.
Monday, Nov. 7
- At 8:00 AM/CT, Seventh Avenue South will close from Demonbreun Street to McGavock Street.
- At 8:00 AM/CT, the eastbound lane of Demonbreun Street will close from Sixth Avenue South to Eighth Avenue South.
- Wednesday, Nov. 9
- At 3:00 PM/CT, the closure of Demonbreun Street will expand from Fourth Avenue South to Eighth Avenue South.
- At 3:00 PM/CT, Sixth Avenue South will close in the block between Demonbreun Street and Broadway.
- At 3:00 PM/CT, the westbound lane of Franklin Street will close in the block between Fourth Avenue South and Fifth Avenue South.
All roads will re-open no later than 2:00 AM/CT on Thursday, Nov. 10; except Demonbreun Street between Fourth Avenue South and Fifth Avenue South, which will re-open by 5:00 PM/CT on Friday, Nov. 11.
“The 45th Annual CMA Awards” is a production of the Country Music Association. Robert Deaton is the Executive Producer, Paul Miller is the Director, and David Wild is the writer. The special will be shot in high definition and broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound.
