CMA Announces Changes To Voting Process For CMA Touring Awards

THE COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES CHANGES
TO VOTING PROCESS FOR CMA TOURING AWARDS

The Country Music Association, the premier trade association of the Country Music industry, has announced changes to the voting process for its CMA Touring Awards, which recognize vital behind-the-scenes members of the Country Music touring community.

The updated voting process will now include an additional voting round before the Final Ballot round of voting. Ahead of the awards ceremony’s 19th year, a Nomination Ballot will open Friday, Aug. 16 and close Tuesday, Aug. 27, allowing eligible CMA Professional voting members in the Affiliated, Artist, Composer, Entertainment Services, Musician, Personal Manager, Record Company, Talent Agent, Advertising/Marketing/Communications, Venue, Talent Buyer/Promoter and Touring Personnel categories of membership the opportunity to nominate individuals and/or companies in all 20 award categories. Any candidates that receive three (3) or more nominations will be placed on the Second Ballot, which will open Monday, Sept. 16 and close Friday, Sept. 27. Members can vote for up to five (5) candidates in each award category on the Second Ballot.

A CMA Touring Awards Nominations Task Force will then review the Top 20 vote recipients in each category and determine the finalists.

A Final Ballot round of voting will open Monday, Jan. 6 and close Thursday, Jan. 16 allowing members to cast their vote amongst the Top five (5) to eight (8) finalists in each category. CMA members are encouraged to keep an eye on their inbox for balloting information.

Stay tuned for additional details regarding the forthcoming CMA Touring Awards ceremony, expected to be held in Nashville in early 2025.

About the CMA Touring Awards
The CMA Touring Awards, originally called the SRO Awards, were created by CMA’s Board of Directors in 1990 to honor outstanding professional achievement within the touring industry. The first awards were presented in 10 categories at a black-tie gala hosted by K.T. Oslin and Roger Miller during CMA’s Entertainment Expo, also known as the Talent Buyers Entertainment Marketplace. The SRO Awards were renamed the CMA Touring Awards in 2016 and currently honor touring professionals in 20 categories.
