Imposter Syndrome Takes Center Stage At CMA MemberSIPS Event

IMPOSTER SYNDROME TAKES CENTER STAGE AT
COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION MEMBERSIPS EVENT

CMA’s Ongoing MemberSIPS Programming Offers Country Music Professionals the Opportunity to Gather and Discuss Important Topics in the Music Business

The Country Music Association welcomed CMA members to its Nashville HQ on Tuesday, July 23 for a MemberSIPS event focused on imposter syndrome. Many music industry professionals experience imposter syndrome—feelings of self-doubt in abilities and accomplishments—despite evidence to the contrary.

Janet Walls (Delta Blvd, President and Founder) hosted an enlightening discussion that delved into how future and current industry professionals can tap into their internal and external support systems to control those emotions. The conversation highlighted what imposter syndrome looks like and how to combat and overcome it to celebrate and own skills, accomplishments and abilities.

As the premier trade association supporting individuals within the Country Music industry, CMA created MemberSIPS to cater to its members’ professional development needs—offering thematic presentations, discussions and gatherings, and providing members a networking opportunity with like-minded professionals while enjoying a beverage with one another.

Members can check their inboxes for more information about the next MemberSIPS event or reach out directly to CMA’s Membership team at [email protected].
